View picture Ex David Higgins BRC Championship Winning Prodrive built Subaru Impreza GC8 Rally Car (S172 DWL). Scottish rally Championship Class 10 Championshp Winning Car 2008. The car at the moment has Registration J9NO Y on it but when sold will have its original Prodrive Reg S172 DWL back on it. The car was built by Prodrive for David Higgins and was the car he won the BRC Group N Championship in. I bought the car last November and have run it in the SRC this year winning the Class 10 (open class) championship outright. The car is group N spec but currently running a 34mm restrictor. Custom cages roll cage. Newly serviced OMP electric fire extinguisher and new hand held extinguisher (as had to give previous one to another competitor on the Jim Clark). Modena 5 speed dog gearbox, which I lost 3rd gear in during the McRae Stages (hence the poor result) I will have it stripped and sorted before the car is sold. Engine was rebuilt 3 rallies ago with new latest STi V9 Crank, steel rods, rings, Uprated water and oil pumps etc etc due to radiator being burst on an event and cooking the engine. New paddle clutch fitted at the same time as engine build. Turbo stripped and rebuilt as well at same time running with 34mm restrictor. Running on Steve Simpson management system with anti-lag and water spray which was re-mapped when engine was re-built (mapping is for Shell V-Power – Prodrive ECU available for 32mm restrictor on Carless fuel).
Prodrive 50mm suspension. Rear 180 diff new 3 events ago. GEMS elec diff controller. Horseshoe style Bag tank in boot and in date. Toggle switches and fuse panel built into centre console (Prodrive group N spec). Motordrive prodrive seats with belts in date till 2012. Helmet box. Kevlar side skirts, underfloor guards, Sump guard, Diff guard and kaylan drop down rear bottom arm/drive shaft guards. Prodrive Group N quick release exhaust system with equal length headers. The car has been 100% reliable for me this season apart from a broken driveshaft on the Merrick which isn’t a mechanical fault and I dropped it in a ditch on the Speyside no damage just no one about to get me out!! £15,995 ono.
