Mini 1275 GT rally car

Seam welded early 1275GT shell. New inner and outer sills, "A" panels and hinge panels, all new panels are in primer. Original colour vermillion 2 pack paint comes with car. When the sills were replaced doubler plates were fitted at the cage mounting points, Halda trip & sump guard fitted. Suspension is new shockers all round, adjustable Hi Lo's and new adjustable bottom arms and tie-bars. Brakes are MG Metro hubs, vented disks and four pot callipers at front and original minifin drums at rear. Hydraulic handbrake with back up cable operation. Engine is 1293 overbore on GT engine, lightened and balanced bottom end. Longman head, belt driven timing gear with vernier adjustment, competition clutch, 45 weber and custom made exhaust manifold and system. Straight cut gearbox fitted with LSD. Car was previously owned and rallied by EX Austin Rover works driver Ken Wood and has been under cover for the last 4 years. Considerable work has been done and the car is close to final check over for MOT. The dash and wiring could do with a tidy up. The car is MSA log booked and has recently fitted brand new 5 point belts, battery box and battery. A selection of spares come with the car including 10 wheels and new gravel tyres.
