Ford Puma Rally Car Project
East Yorkshire

Here we have a 1700 Puma shell that I bought with the intention of building into a 1400 rally car racing puma lookalike. Unfortunately due to loosing some covered storage and buying a house this project has now got to go. The car has a multi point 45mm custom cages cage fitted by custom cages, this was confirmed by them when i purchased the car 18 months ago and they can supply the correct documentation on request. The car was a rolling shell with the cage when i got it and since then it has been stripped and much of the seam welding and strengthening has been done to the shell but there is still some work to be done prior to painting. The only parts of rot that i have come across are the rear arches (which I planned to change) and the original seat mountings (which I wouldn't be using due to fitting seat rails). The car will come with boot, bonnet, doors, glass inc heated front screen, lights, dash which has been lightened and trimmed to fit around the cage, front cross member, front and rear standard bumpers and any other standard parts I can find.
Amongst the other parts included are a set of AVO coilovers, cosworth 4 pot front discs and callipers, rear disc conversion, new omp strutbrace, new 2 1/2" exhaust system and any other puma parts I can find. There are several boxes of bits and pieces to go with it.
Also included is a 1400 non air con puma road car which was an mot failure but ran and drove fine. There was a problem with the locks and as such the drivers door window and quarter glass have been broken and the interior is damp, one of the front wheel bearing will need replacing and the brake servo/master cylinder has been removed. I bought this for the engine and box but this would also be a supply spare panel and lights etc. In my estimation the car will require a few days of work to complete the welding before painting. The car has been outside for the last few weeks and even though it has been sheeted up the bare metal is starting to show some surface rust.
The car can be viewed at our workshops in east Yorkshire, please let me know you are coming before hand. If there are any questions please either email or call 01430 860080.
